Toroidal Cores

GENERAL

Exin produces Toroidal Cores in various dimensions with made to order Customer specification according to IS STANDARDS and equivalent International standards. The Strip Wound Cores or Toroidal Cores are manufactured from coils of CRGO electrical steel to yield closely controlled electro-magnetic characteristics and dimensional accuracy.

The requirements are so different that we have no standard types and manufacture according to client requirement.
However in order to get shorter delivery time and to avoid tool cost, you can find Exin standard widths & Exin Standard mandrels.

The cores are stress-relief annealed in an inert atmosphere to restore the magnetic properties. and then tested for magnetic properties.

Special care is taken in handling and packing in order to avoid damage to the Toroidal Cores.
Various types of Toroidal Cores Available are:
  1. Uncut, Non Impregnated
  2. Uncut Impregnated
  3. Uncut and resin
  4. Cut and Impregnated

Advantages of Toroidal Transformers

Toroidal transformers offer many advantages over standard laminated transformers.:

  1. Toroidal Transformers provide efficient operation with very low stray magnetic fields.
  2. Their small size and weight support a package that is easy to design into any application.
Efficiency

Since Toroidal Cores are constructed of a continuously wound ribbon, there is virtually no air gap. The windings are evenly wrapped over the entire core allowing the transformer to operate at a higher flux density than in standard transformers. The magnetic flux of the windings is oriented in the same direction as the grain-oriented core, thus achieving very high electrical efficiencies. Efficiency is a measure of a transformer's ability to deliver the input power to the load.

Applications

Power Transformer, Current Transformer, Instrument Transformer, Inductor, Ballast, AF Transformer, Magnetic Amplifier, Voltage Stabilizer 7 regulators, etc

Quality & Testing
Exin is focused to give overall quality and service satisfaction to all clients. We are a sub-supplier group for the Transformer Industry.

All incoming material are checked and further processes are carried out. Manufacturing processes are regularly monitored. Final checks are made on fully assembled cores, and testing reports are sent to our clients.

Some samples of the test report are displayed below:
